Nadal and Murray, reach the semi-finals at the Sony Ericsson Open

Rafael Nadal, is now through to the semi-finals at the Sony Ericsson Open after withstanding a brutal assault from France’s Jo Wilfried Tsonga, to grind out a 6-2, 5-7, 6-4 victory. Nadal, will now face Andy Murray, who survived a tough match himself, against Janko Tipsarevic. Murray, had to come back from a set and a break to overcome the ninth seed, in 3 sets.

This will be the 19th meeting between Andy Murray and Rafael Nadal. While Murray, has had success in the past against Nadal, on the hard courts. I’m liking the Spaniard’s chances and I’m picking him to win in 3. Anyone else get the feeling, we’re in for another Djokovic vs Nadal final?

The other half of the draw, is still in the quarter-final stage. With Juan Monaco against Mardy Fish and Novak Djokovic taking on David Ferrer. I expect Djokovic, will prevail in his match against Ferrer. As for Monaco and Fish, that one is a little harder to call. I’ll go out on a limb and say Fish, wins it in 3. Since he has a better hard court game than Monaco.
